Charity fund raiser auctions MotoGP rides

Schumacher ... went pillion with Mamola in 2006

RIDERS FOR HEALTH and Dorna are offering fans the chance to experience the thrill of riding pillion on a MotoGP bike.

Ducati have donated 11 rides on their two-seat Desmosedici with former 500GP star Randy Mamola, to raise money for Riders for Health work in Africa.

The pillion ride is claimed, by those lucky enough to have experienced it, to be unbelievable fun. Formula 1 ace Michael Schumacher was lucky enough to have a pillion ride with Randy Mamola in 2006. The driving legend couldn't wipe the smile from his face. The rides will be auctioned on Riders' website until 16 June.

The tickets also include a four-day pass for the World Ducati Week, as well as all the protective clothing and all the medical checks needed.
