Both the Gold Wing and Rebel have become mainstays of Honda’s motorcycle range over their respective histories, and for 2024 they both receive visual refreshes thanks to a range of new paint options.
Honda Gold Wing
For 2024, the Honda Gold Wing receives a number of new colour options across both the standard bike and the Tour version.
For the standard GL1800, Honda brings the new ‘Matt Armoured Green Metallic’ colour (top of page), while the Gold Wing Tour gets one all-new option - ‘Heavy Gray Metallic’ with ‘Graphite Black’ detailing and bronze engine covers (below) - and a refresh to an existing paint, as ‘Pearl Glare White’ is now paired with new “Graphite Black” detailing (above).
Mechanically, the bike is unchanged, with its 1,843cc six-cylinder engine still producing 125bhp and 125lb ft of torque. The suite of riding modes, electronics including throttle-by-wire and the optional dual-clutch transmission remain.
Honda Rebel
The Honda Rebel is one of the Japanese brand’s best examples of its philosophy of utilising the same engineering architecture for many bikes and many categories.
The Honda CMX1100 Rebel, for example, makes use of the same 1,084cc parallel twin-cylinder engine as in the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Honda NT1100, despite its very different purpose as a cruiser.
For 2024, the CMX1100 receives two new colours: ‘Glint Wave Blue Metallic’ (top of section) and ‘Iridium Gray Metallic’ (above). Additionally, the CMX1100T - a ‘touring’ style variant which comes with a larger front cowl and hard side cases - remains available in the ‘Gunmetal Black Metallic’ colour, but now with bronze wheels (below).
Its smaller sibling, the mid-capacity CMX500 Rebel, gets a similar treatment, with the new ‘Seal Silver Metallic’ (above), and ‘Matt Laurel Green Metallic’ (below) joining the existing ‘Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic’ colour. Additionally, the CMX500 S - which comes with a headlight cowl, all-black fork covers and gaiters, and diamond-stitch style seat as factory-fitted accessories - also gains the new ‘Pearl Shining Black’ colour.
