Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled

Henry Crew, who holds the world record for the youngest person to solo circumnavigate the world on a motorcycle, has had his custom Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled stolen.

The theft took place In the early hours of this morning at his parent's home in Petersfield, Hampshire.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert sled has covered over 55,000 miles as it took Henry around the world and naturally it has a large sentimental value to Mr Crew.

Henry has commented: “if you can keep an eye out for a white Ducati Desert Sled that looks like it’s done 60,000 miles in a year, cracked exhaust plate, stickers, scratches, red fuel cans or black winding roads plates on the side.

It’s pretty unique and sentimental to me.

I appreciate all your help and efforts in recovering it!”

Henry’s Journey

Top place number one was the Himalayas, where he rode on the three highest roads in the world. The scenery was out of this world, and if he could only go back to one place the Himalayas would be the favorite. His second favorite was Australia, stating that the place and the people were amazing. Plus, shredding along the beach wasn’t too shabby either.

And finally the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (California), where Henry met another adventure motorcyclist. The pair got talking... and by morning set off on a mini-adventure together. Just what are the chances?

Top moments to remember:

  • Staying overnight in a Prison in Pakistan (for his own protection)
  • Running and riding away from corrupt police officers in Honduras

  • Staying in the worst area of the Medellin (Columbia), in a hotel that turned out to be a brothel

All of these special moments were ridden on the now stolen motorcycle. Any information on the whereabouts of the bike would be greatly appreciated.

“Having spent every day of the last year on this bike over 50,000 miles I was gutted to wake up this morning and find it missing. Hopefully, through the power of social media we can locate it!”
