Gerard Butler rushed to hospital after LA motorcycle crash
The Scottish film star was reportedly run off the road by another vehicle
GERARD Butler, famous for his roles in blockbusters including ‘300’ and ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, has been rushed to hospital following a motorcycle crash in Los Angeles.
The 47-year-old Scottish actor was reportedly riding through Hollywood when the incident occurred. Witnesses claim his motorcycle was cut off by another vehicle, forcing Butler from the road.
An onlooker told TMZ: ‘Someone called 911, paramedics came and took Gerard to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.’
Fans need not worry about damage to his famous looks, however, as the source added that the damage is not serious.
‘Luckily no broken bones, just cuts and bruises,’ they said.
Butler is known for his love of motorcycles, and is often seen out and about in LA aboard various models, including a classic BMW, a Harley-Davidson chopper and a custom Triumph.
Contrasting reports of suggest he was riding either the Harley or the Triumph when the accident took place.
However, it looks like business as usual for Butler, whose latest movie Geostorm hits cinemas this week, and he reportedly plans to continue to promote it, bruises and all.
