Ferrari confirms Rossi F1 drive

FERRARI FORMULA ONE boss Stefano Domenicali has confirmed six-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi will test one of the company's F1 cars later this month.

Speaking at the Wrooom press conference at Madonna di Campiglio, Domenicalli said Rossi would test an older F1 car in Barcelona at a two-day test on January 20th, as a reward for clinching his ninth world motorcycle championship.

Earlier this week, the motorcycle phenomenon ruled out a serious career in F1, saying he would be 'too old' by the time he finished racing motorcycles.

Rossi last sampled a Ferrari F1 back in November 2008.
