BMW Adaptive Headlight in action

Riding at night will never be the same again

BMW Adaptive Headlight in action

THIS IS BMW'S new Adaptive Headlight in action on the company's recently revealed K1600 tourer.

Without bamboozling you (and us) with reams of techno-ridden bumph, it's a kind of a self-levelling headlight that works both for horizontal and vertical pitch.  This means the headlight beam not only adjusts itself to compensate for the weight of a pillion or luggage etc. but also reacts to the bike's angle of lean.

Very clever stuff indeed.
