THE AA is launching a new dedicated service for bikers within the M25, using motorcycle-enabled vans that offer a superior repair and recovery capability.
For the first time, the UK's biggest breakdown organisation will have the capability to recover a stricken bike inside the van - cocooning it from the elements in a secure environment.
The patrols will be able to tackle most motorbike breakdowns at the roadside, including punctures, and will carry a range of spare parts.
Simon Fisher, one of dedicated AA bike repair and recovery patrols, says: "As keen bikers too, we know what it's like when your bike breaks down - you just want the best possible service to get it repaired or to where it needs to be. That's just what we aim to provide - a 'Rolls Royce' service that really puts your needs first - you know your bike will be in good hands."
There will be five vans operating initially and, depending on their success, the AA will look to roll them out across other areas of the country.
