Pramac Yamaha has become the first MotoGP team to launch their 2026 season, revealing their new livery in an event in Siena.

Pramac finished bottom of the 2025 teams’ standings, ending the year with 30 points less than LCR Honda in 10th. This came only two years after it won the teams’ title with Ducati in 2023, and one year after it won the riders’ title with Jorge Martin in 2024.

Of course, the titles were won with Ducati machinery, which it swapped for closer factory ties at Yamaha.

Its second season with the Iwata marque has brought it some substantial change, with Toprak Razgatlioglu joining from WorldSBK and BMW. The Turkish rider won 78 races and three titles in the production derivative series, but MotoGP will be an all-new adventure for the 29-year-old Turkish star.

The other significant change is the swap from inline-four engine to V4 thanks to a change of direction from Yamaha, which hopes the new engine configuration will allow its bike to be more competitive in racing scenarios versus the other V4 bikes on the grid. The entire MotoGP grid bar Yamaha has been V4-engined since Suzuki left the championship at the end of 2022.

Two things which have changed little for 2026 are Jack Miller, who remains with the team for a second season of his current stint there, and the livery, which keeps the purple and black colours from the past two years.

Pramac’s preseason testing campaign is due to start on 29–31 January at Sepang which will host the preseason Shakedown test, which only Yamaha will be allowed to take part in with its non-rookie race riders as the only factory still in the bottom tier of the concessions system.
