Daniel Ricciardo reportedly hospitalised following a crash on a dirt bike
Reports state he has collarbone injuries, although he is claimed to be in good spirits as he undergoes treatment.

The former Red Bull F1 racer Daniel Ricciardo has been injured in a motorcycle crash, while riding his dirt bike in Northern Queensland.
The reports have come from Planet F1, although they are as yet unconfirmed by Ricciardo himself. PF1 hasn’t named the sources of the news, although it has stated he was riding his bike in Daintree in northern Queensland, going on to say that he’s been taken to Mossman Hospital in Queensland.
The cause of the crash is, at the time of writing, unknown.

Ricciardo was an active F1 driver between 2011 and 2024, switching from a full-time driver to a testing role in his later years. He’s been linked to a move to the new Cadillac team in recent weeks, although that signing has been neither confirmed by Ricciardo nor the new team’s manager, Graeme Lowdon.
Aside from F1, Ricciardo made no secret of the fact that motorbikes, and in particular dirt bikes, were a particular favourite method of unwinding away from the track. He’s ridden mini-bikes on track with Sete Gibernau, and even had plans of riding across the USA on a 110cc minibike in 2023.
He has also posted videos on social media of him riding dirt bikes on what looked like a homemade flat track course at his home in Australia. It’s thought that this is the activity that has most captured the attention of Ricciardo - given how vast the expanses of open land are in Australia, that’s a lot of dirt to explore.
More recently, Danny Ricc took to the dirt with motorcycle stunt star Axell Hodges, who was training him to jump mini-bikes out in the desert.
We’ll keep you posted on any further news relating to this story, and wish Danny well in his recovery.
