KTM’s latest big-bodied range has dropped in the form of brand-new 1390 Super Adventure S Evo and S models, but its 2024 range can’t be scoffed at either.

Consisting of two models - the S and R - the latter has a saving of £2,000 courtesy of Bristol-based dealer, Fowlers. Made up of a liquid-cooled V-Twin LC8 engine, the 1290 Super Adventure R produces 160bhp and 101Ib ft of torque.

Available in a white and orange colourway, this Super Adventure R doesn’t just look the part as it's littered with impressive features. Starting with its forged pistons which are based on Formula 1 technology.

Composed of all the features you would expect and want such as a quickshifter, the bike also features a completely reworked exhaust system. A chrome-molybdenum stainless steel trellis frame also forms part of the bike’s characteristics.

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R is fitted with high-performance WP XPLOR suspension which was co-developed with test rider Quinn Cody at the helm. A WP XPLOR fork with 48mm inner tubes takes care of business at the front and has been derived from KTM off-road models.

The S model differs from the R when it comes to the suspension as it uses WP USD forks, while the wheels are also different on the two models with the R using wire wheels and Bridgstone tyres while the S has alloy wheels.

It features split fork technology and all-new settings that provide better off-road performance. At the rear is a high-end PDS monoshock, which is fully adjustable in spring preload with an external handwheel, rebound, and compression including high and low-speed compression damping.

The bike’s brakes come courtesy of Brembo with twin 320mm diameter discs at the front, which are radially mounted, plus 4-piston fixed calipers. At the rear, a dimensioned 267mm diameter disc is fitted. And in case of an emergency, Bosch's two-channel 9M+ ABS is there to help prevent a crash.

Check out Fowlers' offer here which sees the bike drop from its RRP of £18,199 to £16,199.
