Buell Motorcycles has begun delivering its new 175 hp (172.6bhp) Super Cruiser in the US, with the UK set to follow in the new year.

Buell’s highly anticipated Super Cruiser has taken a long time to reach this point after it was unveiled in February 2023. Subsequently, it has teased its new model at length during that time, which underwent stress tests in recent months before finally gaining EPA and CARB approvals, which are necessary in the United States.

That means Buell is finally able to put its production-ready Super Cruiser in the hands of customers, as it attempts to establish itself behind fellow American companies Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle.

A number of these bikes are also expected to arrive in the UK during the first few months of 2026, thanks to Buell’s new partnership with Devon-based importer Rainbow Moto. Buell confirmed its return to the UK during the summer, which will also lead to the brand’s yet-to-be-released SuperTouring model heading our way in the future.

Alongside its mammoth 172.6bhp, the Super Cruiser’s 1190cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine will deliver 94 Ib-ft of torque at 8,500rpm. It uses a lightweight steel trellis frame and 17-inch wheels, while Fox suspension components and Brembo brakes complete the bike’s high-spec profile.

Speaking about the company’s Super Cruiser update, Bill Melvin, CEO of Buell Motorcycle Co, said:

“It’s exciting to be delivering the bikes to the customers. It has been a journey re-growing Buell to this stage of production and now the customers can take their own journey on the Super Cruiser.”

In the US, Buell currently offers direct-to-customer sales and delivery, or delivery by way of its Premium Service Centers network. Buell’s “national service footprint has expanded to more than 80 authorised service locations”, according to the company. However, there are plans to increase that to 120 in 2026.
