Pedrosa arrested in boat exam scam

Pedal-power beckons for tiny MotoGP frontrunner

IN WHAT must be one of the most bizarre stories of the year, Dani Pedrosa has been arrested by Spanish police, having allegedly cheated in a Yachtmaster exam.

Pedrosa was arrested as part of a sting against a network who helped people pass their Yachtmaster qualification by using earpieces to pass information to those sitting the exam.

Pedrosa was one of 21 arrested, including seven of the criminal gang.

He was charged and released, his lawyer later issued a statement saying that Pedrosa admits to following bad advice and that he 'committed an error'.

Reports that Pedrosa has now been limited to captaining nothing larger than a pedalo are as-yet unconfirmed.
