Thousands of bikers complete charity ride-out on closed-off motorway
Thousands of motorcyclists have raised money for charity as part of a ride-out to the Bike4Life Festival, with some motorway roads closed off as part of the planned ride.

Around 3,500 motorcyclists took part in a charity ride-out for Bike4Life on Sunday, July 20, which resulted in some motorway roads being closed off to the public.
The 26-mile ride-out began in Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, and began at 10:30am on Sunday morning. Riders rode across sections of the A5, M54 and A41, while the A5 and M54 were closed off for a period of time. Those roads have since re-opened to the public.
The ride-out saw people ending up at Weston Park, where the Bike4Life Festival was taking place. The ride-out allowed members of the public to raise funds for a good cause, but also to meet World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty, who was in attendance along with some other big names.
Fellow ex-racers Steve Parrish and James Whitham were also present at the festival, which raises money for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity. Parrish, who has been taking part in the initiative for the past nine years, said more money gets raised for the charity every year.
Parrish told the BBC Midlands: "I've been doing this for nine years and fortunately each year we raise more and more money, so it's nice to be behind that. It's wonderful to ride all the way from Shrewsbury to here and see all the people on the bridges waving and cheering."
Over the 12 years the event has been running, more than £800,000 has been raised for the charity.
