Overall Review

Its like a 125 on steroids and would make an almost perfect fun run around citys and back lanes. At 5'7" (with heals) it suits my size - 6 footers+ would be in the fetal position ! Will bring confidence to new riders and smiles to us 'oldtimers' Save your licence , buy a Duke 200. With the 125 being so popular and the 390 being the new kid on the block there are some real bargains to be had on the 200 - make your local KTM dealer an offer on one in stock.

Strengths

Bought this new in June with lots of extras - acrapovic exhaust, all black and silver bodywork, rack and luggage(ktm), heated grips all for £3699 - GOOD VALUE, cheaper than standard 125 Duke ! Very pleased with bike use for A and B road fun around mid Wales along with the odd commute- it is ace on fuel , getting over 160 mile to the tank even the way I ride.No 3 figure speeds with this one but once tyres are warm you really can get knee down easily keeps with bigger bikes on twisties. Always had 900cc + sportsbikes and tourers for the last 15 yrs but fancied a change- good so far. Fun bargain

Weaknesses

Crap standard tyres , deadly in the wet - just ok on a warm dry day- change them asap. Seat could be comfier.Dead backside after 80+ mile. 390 is out now with even more go but almost 1k more. will stick with 200 for now. Standard exhaust feels like its made from solid iron - it is so heavy - get an aftermarket system asap. .

Overall Review

well pleased with bike,i always look forward to riding it,it's Fun,i think i will be keeping this bike for a long time.

Strengths

This is a Great little bike,it apparantly 'packs the punch of a real motorcycle' and i would say this seems fair. it has good acceleration /adequate top speed and brilliant economy (i'm getting about 80 mpg at under 60 mph)it looks fantastic and state of the Art.seems reliable so far (6 months)brakes very good(early non abs model)

Weaknesses

i Find the ignition switch difficult to access/remove key as it is very close to the handlebars.front light design is not to my personal taste but everything else looks great.seat is a bit on hard side but i only do small journeys so not too much of a problem

Overall Review

Awesome little bike that was fun to ride and far more capable than its cc size would suggest. I think these are a great choice for a bike that within its limits can commute, take day trips and generally have some low cost fun on. Not the bike to load up with your partner and go touring obviously, but if you are looking for a great little nippy bike try on of these and I am sure it wont disappoint you.

Strengths

Light and forgiving, all controls fell to hand easily and it has a super little engine that is a little more capable than I expected easily faster than my new Yamaha 250 Virago. Parts are cheap as well

Weaknesses

Bigger riders might feel slightly cramped as its not a huge bike.
