Is this the save of the century?
Ayumu Sasaki pulled off one of the greatest saves we’ve seen in a long time at the Assen round of the Moto3 World Championship this weekend
FOR some reason the Assen round of the MotoGP Championship always throws up some spectacular racing and some awesome saves – but this one from Ayumu Sasaki is probably the most spectacular yet!
Riding for the Petronas Sprinta Racing squad, Sasaki loses the back end of the bike coming through the fast chicane just before the start finish straight. As the back tyre eventually finds some grip again, Sasaki is flung from the seat of the bike, almost falling over the bars in the process.
Amazingly, the teenager is somehow able being the bike back under control and manages to land back in the seat. He later went on to finish the race in 17th place.
