Triumph’s scrambler platform will serve as the base for the 2026 Originals contest, which includes seven finalists from around the world, including the UK’s Stockwell Design entry.

The remaining six teams include entries from Spain, France, Italy, China, Canada, and the US. The brief is officially called ‘Time Capsule’, meaning teams will need to base their design on the brand’s history, as well as a defining era for the scrambler platform.

Each team will work closely with a custom build workshop as part of the model concept, with each build set to be revealed this summer.

In terms of how Triumph will go about selecting a winner, the Hinckley-based company will let fans choose their favourite build via a public vote, while an expert panel will also be on hand to help decide a winner. Additionally, fans can find out more about each team as part of a dedicated section on the official Triumph website.

Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud said this about the 2026 Originals contest:

“The Scrambler carries a remarkable legacy, influencing both culture and the competitive racing scene. From the stripped-back desert sleds of the 1950s to the big-screen stunts of the 2020s, it’s been ridden by icons from Steve McQueen to James Bond. This motorcycle started out as a model made by riders, built through personal tweaks and ingenuity, and that same spirit of customisation still sits right at its heart today.

“With such a rich and varied past to draw from, picking just one moment in time won’t be easy for our teams. Triumph Originals gives us a global stage to celebrate not just the engineering excellence, but also the enduring appeal of this legendary model.”

Finally, the British manufacturer has also confirmed that the winning build will be revealed in the Autumn of 2026.
