Sena launches new 60X flagship motorcycle intercom with joystick controls and Bose audio
Sena's new flagship 60X intercom arrives with joystick controls, Bose-tuned audio, Mesh 3.0, Wave Intercom, Qi wireless charging and a £359 starting price.

Sena has unveiled its new flagship motorcycle intercom, the 60X, which introduces a redesigned control layout and a long list of new and updated features.
The big news story is the addition of a joystick controller, making the 60X the first Sena intercom to ditch the brand's familiar button-only setup. The joystick is joined by two programmable shortcut buttons, allowing riders to assign frequently used functions for quicker access while wearing gloves.
The 60X also becomes the first Sena unit to adopt the company's slimmer housing design, which is intended to reduce the amount the intercom protrudes from the side of a helmet.

Communication is handled by multiple systems, including Sena's latest Mesh 3.0, older Mesh 2.0 for backwards compatibility, traditional Bluetooth intercom and the firm's Wave Intercom platform. While Mesh and Bluetooth offer up to 2km of range in open terrain, Wave uses a mobile data connection to remove distance limitations altogether, provided riders have network coverage.
Audio comes via 40mm HD speakers with “Sound by Bose” tuning, while the microphone benefits from AI-powered noise reduction to help improve voice clarity during calls and intercom conversations.

The 60X supports Bluetooth 5.3 smartphone connectivity, voice commands and over-the-air software updates through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection. It also gains Qi wireless charging, allowing the unit to be charged on any compatible wireless charging pad rather than relying solely on a USB cable.
Battery life is quoted at up to 19 hours of Mesh intercom use or 29 hours when using Bluetooth intercom. A 20-minute fast charge is claimed to provide up to four hours of Mesh communication or six-and-a-half hours over Bluetooth.
Other features include an IPX7 waterproof rating, magnetic mounting system, automatic power on and off, interchangeable faceplates in four finishes and two mounting kits supplied in the box.
The Sena 60X is available now, priced at £359 for a single unit or £669 for a dual pack. More information can be found on the official website.
