Ruroc has added to its growing EOX2.0 range with the new Pulse Gold helmet, which features a hand-applied finish, and is influenced by bespoke jewellery, of all things.

The EOX2.0 serves as the company’s flagship sport-touring lid, and the new Pulse Gold variant features one of the more striking designs within the line-up, which recently saw more graphics introduced in March.

According to Laurence Jones, Head of Marketing at Ruroc, the new helmet is “influenced by the increasing popularity of bespoke jewellery and a love for artisanal items”.

The British company also says that development of the EOX2.0 Pulse Gold was “one of Ruroc’s most technically demanding colourway projects to date”. That’s largely down to the hand-applied finish, as metallic foil has been layered across the multi-dimensional curves of the shell.

Away from the design language, Ruroc has given its new Pulse Gold lid a healthy smattering of safety tech, including Rheon protection inside the helmet. The interior protection is a material that’s designed to react to both linear and rotational forces during an impact.

Like other helmets in the EOX2.0 range, the new Pulse Gold makes use of a built-in Smart Medical ID system which means important medical details can be stored in the helmet and accessed by first responders in critical situations.

The EOX 2.0 Pulse Gold also features a premium, climate-regulating Merino wool liner and optimised internal architecture for refined acoustics. Connectivity is handled by the company’s optional Shockwave Bluetooth for calls and music, or the Shockwave powered by Cardo, which offers full app integration and advanced group communications.

Limited to just 200 units worldwide, the new EXO2.0 Pulse Gold will cost UK customers £499.
