REV’IT! Tectonic H2O jacket and trousers launched for proper adventure riding
REV’IT! brings modular versatility to the adventure touring scene. Tectonic provides a two-layer system for riders who don’t stop when the weather turns.

REV’IT! has pulled back the covers on the second-gen Tectonic H2O outfit, a two-piece, two-layer setup designed specifically for serious adventure touring.
Designed to tackle changeable weather and long-haul mileage, the Tectonic H2O kit is made up of an air layer base and an outer shell layer, combining to deliver protection, ventilation, and full weatherproofing.

The idea’s simple: the inner, air layer is a standalone mesh armoured jacket and trousers combo, CE level 2 armour all round and an AA safety rating. That gets worn on its own when it's hot and dry. Then, when the weather turns, you throw on the 3L Hydratex waterproof shell layer, which adds windproofing, water resistance, and more ventilation zips than your average hiking jacket. It doesn’t have its own armour, instead relying on the armour built into the air layer. But it does add abrasion resistance, with a CE B rating and boosts the protection provided by the air layer when the two are worn together.

REV’IT! says it’s all about versatility, rather than stuffing a rain liner inside your kit or fumbling with over-trousers in a storm, this system is designed to be modular, easy to use, and functional no matter what the forecast says.

Styling is subtle but well-executed, with colour options including black and light grey, black and blue, and black and brown for the jacket. The trousers are only available in plain Black. As you can see, it’s not overtly obvious that it’s protective motorcycle clothing, either. And looks like it was inspired more by harsh climates and base-camp hikes than race paddocks.
