RST has announced a new partnership with impact protection specialist D3O, with the duo set to introduce upgraded armour tech across its race suits and general range from 2026 onwards.

The collaboration has been in the works for over a year, with RST’s factory riders putting the D3O-equipped suits through real-world testing at the sharp end of racing. The new armour will be rolled out across the board, from pro-level kit to public-facing gear, with the full upgrade landing in the upcoming 2026 collection.

To kick things off, RST is unveiling a limited-edition RST x TT race suit at this year’s Isle of Man TT, featuring integrated D3O protection. Pre-orders for that opened during the event.

Stuart Millington, VP of RST, underlined the move as a significant step in rider protection:

“At RST, we're proud to collaborate with the industry's leading innovators in rider protection. D3O is at the forefront of impact protection technology, making a partnership with such a pioneering brand a natural progression in RST's evolution. Together with our elite-level riders, we've been developing the RST x D3O programme—rigorously testing and validating performance enhancements that we're now thrilled to introduce in our upcoming 2026 collection.”

Lee Johnston added that the D3O upgrade has taken his usual suit “to a whole other level” in terms of both comfort and confidence.

From D3O’s side, Mostyn Thomas, CMO of the company, says the partnership reinforces its place at the top of the game:

“Our partnership with RST reinforces D3O’s position as the global leader in impact protection. Our iconic orange armour delivers unrivalled protection and exceptional comfort, giving riders the confidence to push their limits without compromise. This is what it means to 'Give it Orange'.”

In short, RST’s 2026 gear will offer riders the same level of impact protection trusted by TT racers and BSB contenders, without sacrificing the comfort road riders demand. If milliseconds matter just as much as staying comfortable, this could be the edge you need.
