WorldSBK star Ana Carrasco back on a racing motorcycle after horror crash

ANA Carrasco has taken the first steps back to normality this week, after finally being given the all-clear by doctors after breaking her spine in two places last September.
And the 23-year-old didn’t waste any time either, reportedly being back on the bike just an hour after she was discharged by her medical team.
Carrasco had to withdraw from the 2020 season after a horror crash during a test at Estoril left her with a fractured D4 and D6 vertebrae.
Yesterday though she posted a telling image on her social media showing her in her leathers and helmet at the Karting Sallent getting back on a bike for the first time.
It’s not clear from the image what she was riding at the time, although as the track is predominantly for karts it was likely a mini-GP bike of some sort.
Carrasco made history in 2018 by becoming the first woman in history to win a solo motorcycle World Championship.
