KAWASAKI’s official WorldSBK team, with Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes, have unveiled their 2021 livery ready for the new season.
The online video presentation showcased the new 2021 Ninja ZX-10RR in KRT colours, as well as a look at the world class KRT HQ.
2021 Kawasaki ZX-10RR
We had our first look at the livery of the ZX-10RR, as well as the leathers and lids of Rea and Lowes, and the design team have hit the nail on the head - cracking job this year.
Of course, dominant colours are the Kawasaki racing green (near enough a trademark at this point), with white & red contrast panels on the lower sections of the bodywork.
This new Ninja features a number of new technical advances, including a higher-revving engine, internal front winglets and a new tail section to further improve the aerodynamic performance of both road and race models.
Testing starts today (March 31st) for two days at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, with the WorldSBK grid.
The first round of the WorldSBK gets underway from the 21st May at Motorland Aragon, Spain.
Six-time champ Jonathan Rea will hope to continue his dominance in the WorldSBK series, with a championship-winning-streak stretching back to 2015, and 99 race wins (84 with Kawasaki).
Alex Lowes is looking forward to a good 2021, with 4 Kawasaki podiums to his name (24 total).
In the reveal video, we also had a peek at the make-up of a world championship-winning WorldSBK team, including the team’s hospitality truck and the rapid-prototyping 3D printers available in the technical areas!
