SCHUBERTH’s C5 flip-up helmet is now available for purchase, including many features from a sun visor to chin ventilation.

The Schuberth C5 is the German manufacturer’s latest edition of its flip-up helmet, which give the benefits of both full- and open-face helmets in one product.

Launching earlier this year, the C5 offers a number of safety and ergonomic features to make it a contender in the flip-up space. It comes with ECE 22.06 certification, meaning it is approved as both an open-face and full-face helmet; as well as a Pinlock system that helps to prevent visor fogging.

The Schuberth C5 also comes with a sun visor; chin ventilation; upper head ventilation; a back vent; a removable lining and cheek pads; and a wind deflector. It is also compatible with Schuberth’s communication system, SC2, and the visor is replaceable without tools.

Made of fibreglass, the shell comes in two sizes, and the material helps keep the weight down, with the C5 weighing in at 1.64kg.

The C5 is available in sizes XS to 3XL, and in a variety of colours, including all-white, all-black, “Master Orange,” and “Master Blue.” You can check it out right now on Louis Moto - where you can buy or pre-order, and it costs between £481.55 and £558.11 depending on the colour and design - as well as the previously mentioned SC2 Schuberth communication system

Louis Moto’s Kickstart 2022 sale is also still on, so it remains a good time to head over to their site to check out what you can grab for a reduced price.

Schuberth will also be present at the upcoming German-themed Motolegends Sunday Morning Breakfast meet-up, where, among many other things, C5s will be available for test rides.
