Spanish helmet company LS2 has introduced a new mesh Garda Air jacket, which can be bought with or without upgrades and is available for both men and women.

Named after Lake Garda in Italy, which is known for being the largest lake in the country and a go-to holiday destination for many, the LS2 Garda Air jacket comes with Ruco-Therm CMB technology, which helps to regulate body temperature during hot weather rides.

And with the UK going through a summer heat wave that’s reaching record highs, a jacket that offers a more lightweight and breathable feel is a must have.

The Garda Air combines large mesh panels for its airflow with durable Ripstop poly fabric, which works together with the above-mentioned Ruco-Therm CMB technology.

Using advanced polymer technology, the Ruco-Therm CMB system responds against moisture build-up, as LS2 claims that it provides a long-lasting cooling sensation derived from menthol.

Certified Class A, the Garda Air comes fitted with CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors as standard. The elbow protectors are housed in an adjustable pocket, allowing two possible positions for a more tailored and secure fit.

There’s also the option to upgrade protection with an LS2 851 CE Level 2 back protector, which can be had for £29.99. There’s also an optional chest protector for just £14.99, both are available separately.

A semi-automatic locking YKK Vision front zipper keeps the jacket tightly fastened, while adjustment points are found at the waist, cuffs, and sleeves. An inner pocket is part of the jacket to hold all your essentials like smartphone and wallet.

The Garda Air is available in both men’s and women’s sizes, and is priced at £119.99, including VAT.
