As custom builds go, this Moto Guzzi 850 T5 is right up there after being fully transformed for the London Bike Shed Show earlier this year.

The bike underwent a full makeover before being sold to its new owner, with the custom build carried out by Side Rock Cycles (SRC).

This particular 850 T5 is a 1987 model that had a large amount of factory parts removed as part of the transformation. Included in that process was the removal of the stock tank.

A new seat base in alloy was made and created to blend in with the new unit, which is a special Le Mans edition tank that was cleverly fitted to fit the T5

Custom fenders were added at both ends, while the rear section was rebuilt in order to house an LED taillight and the license plate holder.

The bespoke electronics were mounted underneath the saddle, and in doing so was home to a Motogadget controller and a Sasche digital ignition.

The suspension was also taken care of during this thorough rebuild as it received air assist cartridges in the forks, new seals and oil, as well as a set of slightly longer, fully adjustable piggy back YSS shocks with Ferrari red springs to match the frame. Said frame also received a dose of ‘Ferrari red’.

With the suspension sorted, the guys at Side Rock Cycles then gave the bike’s exhaust a touch up as a stainless OS system was fitted to give the bike a particularly deep tone.
