APRILIA has just revealed official details and pictures of a new edition of its Caponord adventure bike.
The Caponord 1200 Rally has spoked wheels with a 19-inch front rim, hard panniers and a larger screen, plus a protector plate for the sump.
Aprilia had bee due to reveal the model next Tuesday at the Intermot Cologne motorcycle show but just unexpectedly lifted an embargo on all details five days early.
The firm said in a release:

The much-praised Aprilia Caponord family is extended for 2015 with the addition of the Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally.
Featuring spoked wheels (19” front), hard panniers with aluminium covers, a 24-litre fuel tank, LED running lights, a larger screen plus protection for the sump, oil cooler and bodywork, the Caponord Rally takes class-leading Aprilia technology further into adventure territory.
Powered by Aprilia’s 1200 cc V-twin engine, the Caponord Rally is packed with state-of-the-art technology developed by the brand’s Championship winning racing division and includes, ride-by-wire throttle with three engine maps, traction control, cruise control, switchable ABS, as well as the class-leading, patented, aDD suspension system that automatically adapts its calibration to match the road surface and riding style.
The Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally will debut at the forthcoming Intermot Show in Cologne.'
