Motorcycle Beach Racing to Return to Yorkshire
Bridlington will once again be hosting beach racing on two and four wheels, as Race the Waves returns

The Yorkshire seaside town of Bridlington will once again reverberate to the sounds of vintage engines, as the popular Race the Waves beach race returns for 2025.
The event is the brainchild of Paul Garbutt, an experienced event organiser of two and four-wheeled shows. He first came up with the idea of hosting bikes and cars on the beach (and between the tides - hence the name) in 2018, and the event looks to highlight the local history of the region, being that it used to host beach racing and land speed record attempts on the sand in years gone by.

Best of all, Race the Waves is a free-to-attend event, meaning you turn up, enjoy the racing and then help to benefit the local economy by spending some cash in some of the small businesses.
Motorcycle competitors will race in groups of four or five, while car competitors will go head-to-head on the 200-yard (182-metre) course.

Race the Waves 2025 runs from June 12 to 15, with a pre-event meeting taking place at Burton Fleming's village hall and event field from 10:00 BST on June 12. On June 13, a parade will take place at Church Green, Bridlington, with the racing on the beach beginning at 10:00 BST on June 14 and 15.
More information on the event can be found on the official website.
