Merlin launches new men's and women's motorcycle riding jeans
Merlin’s 2026 Summer collection now includes AAA-rated motorcycle riding jeans for men and women.

Merlin motorcycle clothing has added five new products to the range, with men’s and women’s riding jeans now available with ratings up to AAA.
Merlin claims the new products can provide “high levels of riding performance and safety”, without sacrificing comfort and style, whether you are on the bike or not. For men, there are the Rivington AAA Jean and Airflow Kevlar Tech Jeans, while the women’s range includes the Soho AAA Jeans, Elana Stretch Leggings and Mara Cargo Jeans.

Available in Black or Blue, with short or regular leg lengths (30” to 42”), the Rivington AAA Jean (£199.99) uses a DualGuard layering system for abrasion resistance and impact protection. Protection comes in the form of D3O Diablo armour at the knees and hips, which comes as standard. The straight-leg, regular-rise fit is designed for comfort on and off the bike, with a classic five-pocket layout. They also feature a water-repellent finish that should help to repel light rain showers.

The Airflow Kevlar Tech Jeans (£189.99) come in Black or Blue, with short or regular leg lengths (30” to 42”). They are built from Cordura cotton Coolmax denim, and they deliver AAA-rated abrasion protection and feature a moisture-wicking fabric. Large thigh ventilation zips boost airflow, which should make them more comfortable for summer riding. Kevlar reinforcement is built into the hips and knees, while D3O LP1 tri-vented armour is fitted as standard.

The Soho AAA Ladies Jean (£199.99 RRP) comes in Black or Blue, in sizes 8 to 18, and is designed specifically for female riders. The relaxed fit uses a DualGuard layering system, blending stretch cotton with 22 per cent Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethene (UHMWPE) fibres for high abrasion resistance and lightweight. AAA CE-rated protection is backed by D3O Diablo armour at the knees and hips, offering flexible, vented impact coverage as standard. They also get the same water-repellent finish as the Rivingtons.

The Mara Cargo Ladies Jean (£179.99) comes in Black or Green, sizes 8 to 18, and again has been designed from the start for female riders. Cut from the same soft brushed cotton as the Remy 2 cargo pants, it combines comfort with a practical cargo layout and large thigh pockets. Kevlar reinforcement provides abrasion protection, while D3O Ghost ultra-slim knee and hip armour comes fitted as standard for low-profile impact protection. The Mara Cargo are rated AA CE.

Finally, we have the Elana Ladies Stretch Leggings (£179.99) which come only in Black, and from sizes 8 to 18. They combine a slim-legging fit with single-layer four-way-stretch Kevlar for CE AA-rated protection. They come pre-fitted D3O Ghost ultra-slim knee and hip armour. Practical details include large belt loops, a rear pocket sleeve, and a hidden internal waist fastener for added protection.
The new jeans range is now available through Merlin retailers and forms part of the wider Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which also includes riding garments, gloves, boots and helmets from Merlin.
