KTM’s 1390 Super Duke R can be transformed into a track-ready superbike
Kramer Motorcycles has revealed a new fairing kit, designed to turn KTM’s 1390 Super Duke R into a fully-fledged superbike.

Owners of a KTM 1390 Super Duke R, or the previous 1290 model, can now turn the super naked into a track-ready superbike thanks to German company Kramer Motorcycles.
Specialists in producing race bikes, the new bit of kit from Kramer features a full track-spec fairing with optimised aerodynamics. The new kit is made of fibreglass and Kevlar, and is compatible with both the 1390 or 1290’s stock radiators.
The 1390 Super Duke R shares many features of the higher-spec Evo model, although they are not completely the same, as the latter gets WP semi-active, electronically adjustable suspension at both ends of the bike. The R’s WP kit is also fully adjustable, but its non-electronic setup is not quite as high-spec as the Evo.
You can find out more about the differences and similarities between the models by reading our KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo review.

As part of Kramer’s new fairing kit for the Super Duke model, the revised tank features a fuel capacity of 22 litres, while the seat can be adjusted by 20mm. An optional seat pad of 40mm or more is also available. The new windscreen has been developed to reduce drag at high speed on track, while the aerodynamic package also features new cooling fins.
Additionally, the track-ready kit includes a CNC-machined upper triple clamp, adjustable foot pegs, a one-piece dashboard unit, racing clip-on handlebars, and a racing air duct.
A social media post from Kramer Motorcycles said: “The wait is over - the Super Duke Racing Kit design is now finalised and production is underway. The first production run has already sold out, but the next batch of just 20 kits will be available this November.”
The first production run included 30 kits, but given how quickly they sold out, the company is advising interested customers to pre-order theirs as soon as possible. The race kit costs €6,990 (around £6,050) which includes 19 per cent VAT.
