Honda has confirmed the opening of two new dealers in the UK, with one in Manchester and another in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Two new dealers have been opened by Honda UK in the past few months, with Youles Honda in Manchester and Staffordshire Honda on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Both dealers will house Honda’s range from small-capacity scooters such as the PCX125 up to the brand’s flagship bikes such as the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade

Youles Honda (Manchester) is owned and run by Phillip Youles, “who is already successfully operating a number of well-known motorcycle dealerships in the area,” Honda says. Phillip Youles has been in the motorcycle industry for 40 years, and his new Honda dealer can be found at the address: Fairy Lane, Manchester, M8 8YD; and on the number: 0161 527 5020.

In Stoke, Staffordshire Honda is owned and run by Bob Sheldon, who “has been successfully managing motorcycle dealerships for the past 30 years,” Honda says. In 2013, Sheldon achieved a Guinness World Record for the most number of Triumph motorcycles in a single parade, and according to Honda he “has big plans to emulate this for Honda in 2023.” Further, Sheldon is looking to expand his team - currently nine-strong - next year, Honda says.

Staffordshire Honda can be found at the address: Blackfriars Rd, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle ST5 2ED; and on the number: 01782 444678.

Commenting on the two new dealerships, Neil Fletcher, Head of Honda UK Motorcycles said “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome such experienced individuals as Bob and Phillip to the Honda brand. They both have an outstanding record of running successful motorcycle dealerships and we are sure that Youles Honda and Staffordshire Honda will follow that tradition.

"Bob and Phillip are well known across the industry with Phillip also being the Chairman of the NMDA. We look forward to working with them at their respective brand-new facilities and their modern approach will provide first class service to new and existing customers."

Phillip Youles of Youles Honda added, “We’re absolutely delighted to join the Honda network, this brand new dealership has been laid out to give the best customer perception possible and is all about creating the right retail experience. The timing for joining couldn’t better particularly with the arrival of the new Hornet, Transalp and CL500.

"Plus, as we all know, Honda is the largest producer of internal combustion engines and if any company is going to be in the best position to move into the next generation of motorcycles, Honda will surely be at the forefront of this. To say I’m excited for the future is an understatement."

Bob Sheldon of Staffordshire Honda commented, “We are really excited at coming onboard with the market leading Honda brand. It’s a cold territory as there has been no Honda representation in the area for over 20 years but we certainly are up for the challenge.

"A strong model range has already enabled us to have a good start and our already healthy deposit list for this next coming season is being further enhanced from the excitement of the recent NEC show and future models."
