HJC unveils new RPHA 72 with ‘Goldy’ graphics
South Korean helmet maker HJC has revealed new designs to its sport-touring RPHA 72.

Fresh off revealing the new RPHA 72 helmet in September, HJC has taken the design of its flagship sport-touring lid to the next level with new 'Goldy' graphics.
Two variants have been announced by HJC, although only one of those has so far landed in the UK. That is the Pink/Green edition, with the red, white and blue version set to arrive in stores soon.
The RPHA 72 series consists of five different model families, including the new Goldy range which joins the Ernem, Phyta, Value and Solid helmet options. The RPHA 72 is lighter than the RPHA 71 lid it replaced, while the shell is smaller to ensure a better overall fit.
According to HJC, wind tunnel testing of the new RPHA 72 also showed a 19.7 per cent reduction in drag force and a 6.2 per cent reduction in lift force.

The new Goldy variants feature a double D-Ring locking system, Pinlock anti-fog lens inserts, and are fully certified to ECE 22.06 safety standards. The new Pink/Green option also comes with a price of £399,99.
Some of the other key design updates with the RPHA 72 surround the new chin curtain and Smart HJC cover system, which have led to better airflow management and noise reduction.
The helmet also comprises a newly-engineered visor, which is said to be lighter and more compact than before. The interior crown and cheek pads are removable and washable, while the interior is made of advanced anti-bacteria fabric that offers better moisture wicking and quick drying.
Additionally, the Goldy RPHA 72 lids are also fitted with HJC’s ACS (Advanced Channelling Ventilation System), which allows heat and humidity to be flushed out of the helmet from front-to-back, courtesy of two intakes and two exhaust ports.
