Grand Prix Legend to Headline Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic
The Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic at Stafford takes place January 11 and 12 and Wayne Gardner will be in attendance
Classic bike fans should mark their calendars, as the details of the 2025 Winter Classic at the Stafford Showground have been confirmed.
Taking place between January 11 and 12, the event will be a celebration of all things old-school, with road and race bikes, off-roaders and plenty of smokey two-strokes to kick start 2025.
On display will be motorcycles and scooters from across the ages, with owners clubs and private collectors using the event to show off their bikes. Alongside the static displays, there will also be the large outdoor and indoor trade areas, live start-ups, giving you a chance to see, hear and smell the bikes on display, and guest talks.
One guest at the event will be none other than Wayne Gardner, the 1987 Grand Prix champion from the time of the fire-breathing 500cc two-strokes which are so revered by fans and racers alike.
Visitors to the event will get the chance to meet and speak to Wayne, along with his friend and former racer, Roger Marshall. Marshall is a former British Superbike champion, and also raced in Grand Prix at the same time as Gardner. The two will be heading to the stage together, to share their stories and memories of the 500cc era of Grand Prix competition, and possibly look at the challenges of international Grand Prix racing compared to the fiercely competitive British Superbike scene.
Visitors booking their tickets directly with the event organiser in advance will also get a free print depicting Gardner riding his Rothmans-livered Honda NSR500. The print can be collected from the Lady Eastwood Pavillion.
More information on the event can be found on the official website.
