LESS THAN a month after reporting a motorcycle paramedic’s helmet stolen, the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust has been forced to make a similar social media post after it happened again.

The first incident occurred during the second week of January, while a paramedic treated a patient in north east London.

Just three weeks later, on February 4th, another paramedic was left unable to perform their duties following a similar incident.

Posting on Facebook, the Trust wrote: “A motorcycle paramedic’s helmet was stolen while they were on scene at an emergency call today.

“This is the second theft of a helmet and built in earpiece in two months.

“This is vital equipment for us but of little use to anyone else. The theft means the medic can’t respond to other patients.”

The white flip-front Shoei Neotec II, which features ‘Paramedic’ in large red writing across the back, retails at £519.99

Without it, the paramedic was left stranded and unable to respond to further calls.
