AN off-duty Sussex police police officer was killed on Tuesday after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with two cars near Ditchling.

Neil Crouch, 44 from Scaynes Hill, died at the scene of the accident on the B2112 at 1:47pm on Tuesday.

The occupants of the Ford Focus and Diahatsu Charade were uninjured.

Mr Crouch had been based at Gatwick since 2010 after joining the police in 1987 at the age of 19.

Sussex Police have said that an investigation is underway and have asked any witnesses to call 101 quoting Operation Motcombe.
