First Look: 2009 Yamaha XJ6

HERE'S THE first riding shot of Yamaha's new XJ6 naked.

Looking much like Yamaha's existing 98bhp FZ6, the new four-cylinder machine has been built with a view to capturing a sector of the new rider market, delivering a mere 78bhp from its water-cooled engine.

Customers can expect a novice-friendly power delivery, optional ABS and semi-faired version in the shape of the new XJ6 Diversion.

Prices and availability are TBC but expect the XJ6 to sell for around £4500 and the Diversion just under £5000. Add an extra £300 for ABS.
