Exceedingly cute Lego Vespa 125 model kit released!
Following on from the Ducati Panigale and BMW S1000RR model kits, Lego has released a smaller, more manageable Vespa 125 model kit

54 years 8 monthsWHILE Vespa is the motorcycle brand synonymous with making small motorcycles, this latest release from Lego of a Vespa 125 model kit takes things to a whole new level.
Following hot on the heels of the BMW S1000RR that was released a short while ago, and the Ducati Panigale V4 from last year, the latest model looks set to light the fire of motorcycle passion in children adults across the globe.
The instantly recognisable Lego Vespa comes in an authentic pastel blue colour, in itself a rarity for a Lego model. To create the kit, Lego’s designers worked closely with the Italian scooter giant, and it’s fair to say they nailed the aesthetics of this pretty little model.
Like the original, this buildable kit includes single-sided front suspension, 2 seats, a removable engine cover with a brick-built engine beneath, a functioning kickstand, plus working steering. Crowning the bike is a Vespa logo, a classic 1960s Italian licence plate, spare wheel, crash helmet, and an obligatory flower bouquet on the back. To deliver to your imaginary Italian partner, I’m sure.
The Lego Vespa 125 model kit has been created by the two firms to commemorate the scooter makers 75th anniversary, and while AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego – we googled it!) across the globe will no doubt enjoy building and owning the model, we think it’s probably more at home with a member of the Scooterarti – is that a thing?
The bike is a display model only, and not really designed to hold up to the rigours of play – or Italian cobbled streets. It measures 22cm high, 12cm long, 35mm wide and comprises a total of 1,106 bricks. It is priced at £89.99.
