Biker FM DJ dies in motorcycle crash

BIKER FM DJ Gail Richards has died in a motorcycle accident.

Richards, 42, from Bingley, died on the B6479, near Horton-In-Ribblesdale on Saturday after her GSX-R750 was involved in a collision with a tractor.

Richards was an avid motorcycle racing fan and was a popular presenter on Biker FM's Friday night Road Racing Show where she was known on air as Catlass.

Shortly before the crash, two motorcycles had overtaken the tractor. North Yorkshire police said the lead rider in the trio was not a part of the group and may not have seen the accident behind him. However, he has now subsequently contacted police.

Anyone with information about the crash should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
