Cheap Facebook Marketplace Scooters Take on Extreme Mountain Challenge
Two cheap scooters bought off Facebook Marketplace get taken for the journey of their lives up a mountain

The American YouTube channel bought the cheapest scooters it could find in the hope of taking them for an adventure they certainly weren’t built for. Steven and Edwin were the two men in charge of finding said cheap scooters, and they did just that, spending less than $1,000 on each bike individually.
Off-road riding takes a particular type of riding style, but also a bike that is intended for such a purpose, but Edwin’s teeny-tiny 50cc Honda Express SR that’s from the 1980s and Steven’s UM Matrix 150, which makes around ten times more power than the Express, attempt to go up an ADV trail, not to mention this is Steven’s first time riding off-road.
Along the way, both riders encounter many things that neither bike was made for, including hill climbs, water crossings, baby heads (a term first used in the mid-1990s to describe rocks you would find during mountain riding in the US), mud and big elevation changes, as you would expect.
Both riders look incredibly uncomfortable as the rocks and undulating terrain make for a very bumpy ride. Described as “intense” by Edwin as he arrives at a stopping point first, Steven then takes the lead as his luggage begins bouncing all along the rear of his scooter.
They do surprisingly well throughout the journey despite both machines probably ranking at the bottom of any off-road list of bikes you would choose for this type of challenge. Somehow both riders make it all the way up, however, the challenge then turns into riding back down the mountain, especially for Edwin who has no brakes left.
Watch the video below to see how they get on.
