Cardo Systems reveals new Packtalk-S and 4X-S for Shoei Gen 3 helmets
Cardo Systems has revealed the new Packtalk-S which is powered by the brand’s second-generation Dynamic Mesh intercom system.

Cardo Systems has revealed a pair of new seamless intercom products designed specifically for Shoei Gen 3 helmets, including the top of the range Packtalk-S.
The new Packtalk-S arrives with a price of $379.95 (around £288), and will integrate into the Shoei GT-Air 3, Neotec 3, and J-Cruise 3 helmets.
Powered by the company’s second-generation Dynamic Mesh intercom system, the new Packtalk-S can connect up to 15 riders at once and takes less than 5 seconds to set up, according to Cardo.
The system offers up to 1.6km (around 1 mile) of range between units, although the maximum group range extends up to 8km (5 miles). It also features Over-The-Air software updates.
Additionally, the new system benefits from an IP67 waterproof rating, 40mm speakers by JBL, and up to 13 hours of talk time.

The Packtalk 4X-S also gets 40mm speakers by JBL, although range between units drops to 1.2km (around 0.75 miles). Priced at $274.95, which converts to around £205, the 4X-S can connect up to four riders at one time thanks to its premium Bluetooth communicator. The maximum group range extends up to 3.6km (2.2 miles).
Like the Packtalk-S, the 4X-S features Over-The-Air updates while gaining an IP65 waterproof rating. The 4X-S is also designed for the Shoei GT-Air 3, Neotec 3 and J-Cruise 3 lids.
Speaking about the new intercom systems, Dan Emodi, Chief Marketing Officer at Cardo Systems, said:
“We’ve heard from riders for years that they love Cardo’s communication systems but want a solution that integrates more seamlessly with their helmets. With the Packtalk-S, we’ve listened to that feedback to create a system that delivers the full Cardo experience in a helmet-specific integration that riders have been asking for.”
