In perhaps the surprise of the WorldSBK off-season, Honda has unveiled a drastically different livery for its 2026 factory bikes.

You won’t be surprised to see that the 2026 HRC bikes use the company’s traditional red and blue colours in some capacity, but the dominance of the red in the design marks a big change compared to most other seasons in HRC rejoined WorldSBK as a factory effort in 2019, and there’s a bit more white than in the last couple of years as well.

HRC also finds changes on-track this year with Jake Dixon and Somkiat Chantra joining the team from the MotoGP paddock.

Chantra, of course, is practically a Honda lifer by this point, having gone through the Road to MotoGP from the Asia Talent Cup through the JuniorGP series and into the World Championship with Honda support, contesting the Moto2 category with Honda Team Asia before getting a factory-backed move to MotoGP in 2025 with LCR Honda.

Dixon, on the other hand, is a newcomer to the company as a whole, having been with non-factory teams his whole career until now. The seven-time grand prix winner was the only one of the two to take part in the European tests in January thanks to Chantra’s injury picked up in Sepang, although they weren’t the most useful tests of Dixon’s career, either, thanks to bad weather in both Jerez and Portimao.

The final test of the preseason takes place at Phillip Island on 16–17 February before the first round of the season-proper at the same venue on 20–22 February.
