Limited-edition Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR debuts

KAWASAKI has revealed this new version of the ZX-10R, gaining an extra ‘R’ and a load of technical upgrades.

The new ZX-10RR has a modified cylinder head equipped for higher-lift racing camshafts and reinforced crankcases for improved durability. The tappets have a low-friction coating for reduced mechanical loss.

It’s also got new lightweight forged aluminum Marchesini wheels with Brembo M50 monobloc front brake calipers, laterally grooved Brembo discs, a Brembo radial pump master cylinder and steel braided hoses.

It gains an up/down quick-shifter and there’s an optional race kit.

Plus it's equipped with an inertial measurement unit which measures lean to fine tune the intervention of rider aids including traction control, electronic engine brake control, launch control and ABS.

Only 500 are to be made across Europe, in Kawasaki Racing Team’s black and white 'Winter Test' livery.

The ZX-10RR was revealed today at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, with price to be confirmed.
