Kawasaki reveals updated Z1000SX

KAWASAKI has revealed this updated version of its Z1000SX, with comfort and technological upgrades.

The sports tourer gains an inertial measurement unit which measures lean angle to fine tune the intervention of rider aids including ABS and traction control.

It’s also got an ‘easy-pull’ slipper clutch, to reduce back-torque on down-shifts.

The suspension settings are sport-oriented according to Kawasaki and it’s got a digital gear position indicator and an adjustable gear shift light with a rev counter needle that glows.

It’s gained a doube-bubble adjustable screen and LED headlights said to be 40% brighter than the current ones.

The seats are more deeply padded according Kawasaki and the fairing is wider for better wind protection.

The new Z1000SX was unveiled today at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, with price to be confirmed.
