Video: road rage driver fail

Road rage backfires for punch-throwing driver

A DRIVER loses his cool followed by his footing and any dignity after swinging punches at a motorcyclist in this video from the US.

The car driver approaches the motorcyclist at traffic lights, throws punches and shoves his girlfriend pillion passenger before the rider is forced to pin the assailant to the ground by the neck.

The YouTube clip begins with TV news coverage of the incident, in Yuma, Arizona, on Saturday.

The reporter says: ‘A case of road range ended with one person in hospital… Investigators say a motorcycle carrying two people possibly cut off another car on Pacific Avenue.

‘That’s when they believe the driver got out of his car at a stop light to confront the motorcyclist, which turned into a shoving match.

‘The driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. No one was arrested but investigators are reviewing video taken by a camera the motorcyclist had on his helmet. Authorities say they are unsure if alcohol was a factor.’

The video then switches to helmet camera footage of the incident.

The clip appears to have been posted on YouTube by the rider involved. He writes: ‘Driver of the car apparently broke his ankle when he went to the ground.'
