TVS Launches New Apache RTR 160 2V Model
TVS Motors has unveiled its latest-generation Apache RTR 160 V2 model in India, which now benefits from dual-channel ABS.

After giving its Apache RTR 160 4V an update towards the end of 2024, TVS Motors has given its 2V model the same treatment as it now receives dual-channel ABS as one of its key updates.
TVS had reportedly been readying itself for the launch of several new motorbikes and the updated RTR 160 2V, although not the bike that has been teased by the Indian company on its social media platform recently, is the newest member of the small-capacity family.
During that teaser very little about what type of bike it will be was known, although rumours suggested it could be a new RTR 180 model. We do at least now know that information about the RTR 160 2V, as it gets a pair of aggressive LED headlights as well as three riding modes which are Urban, Rain and Sport.
At the tail end of 2024 the TVS came to the fore with a new sporty Apache RTR 160 4V, which, despite its racy looks, is still presented as a commuter motorbike in India, where it gained a lot of popularity.
Like the RTR 160 4V, the new 2V gets a very jazzy Smartxonnect dash which includes turn-by-turn navigation, low fuel warning and assist, race telemetry, lean angle mode and a crash alert system.
At the front of the bike, it gets telescopic front forks and out back are gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by a 270mm disc up front, while the rear offers either a 130mm or a 200mm disc, depending on the variant.
The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with a 90/90 front tyre and a 110/80 rear, while its 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, two-valve engine delivers 15.8bhp and 10.2Ib ft of torque.
