Shoei has officially cut the ribbon on its new UK flagship space, with Shoei Helmets UK celebrating the opening of the Shoei Gallery Birmingham with an invite-only launch night on Thursday 26 February.

While the doors quietly opened earlier this month, the formal Grand Opening marked a more symbolic moment for the brand, as Shoei athletes, the media and industry insiders packed into the new Birmingham venue.

The Birmingham site forms part of Shoei’s global Gallery programme, directed from the brand’s headquarters in Japan. Similar concept spaces already operate in Paris and Barcelona, and Birmingham now becomes the first of its kind in the UK.

The Gallery has been designed as an immersive brand environment rather than a traditional retail outlet. The focus is on showcasing Shoei’s design philosophy, technical development and premium positioning, while continuing to support, rather than compete with, its established UK dealer network.

Hosting duties for the evening fell to Grace Webb, who introduced a line-up heavy with racing pedigree.

One of the standout moments came courtesy of multiple TT winner Dean Harrison, who walked guests through a full lap of the TT course. His breakdown of braking markers, commitment points and sheer risk offered a reminder of why the event remains one of the toughest challenges in world motorsport.

The night also served as the formal introduction of Storm Stacey as the newest rider utilising Shoei’s technology and know-how. Adding further weight to proceedings was six-time BSB champion Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne, who attended as a special guest. Byrne offered a champion’s perspective before joining Harrison and Stacey on stage for a live Q&A session that rounded off the evening.

Now fully open to the public, the Shoei Gallery Birmingham houses the brand’s complete current helmet range across all sizes and colourways. Visitors can take advantage of Shoei’s Personal Fitting Service (PFS), along with helmet servicing and genuine spare parts support, all delivered within a premium showroom setting.

Upstairs, the Spada Loft showcases the latest riding kit from Spada, creating a dedicated destination for riders in the heart of Birmingham.
