Royal Enfield smashes sales record with over 1.24 million bikes sold in September
Royal Enfield posts its highest ever monthly sales, riding a 43 per cent year-on-year surge.

Royal Enfield has just had its best month in history, shifting a staggering 124,328 motorcycles in September 2025, according to Rushlane. That figure marks a 43 per cent leap compared to the 86,978 bikes sold in the same month last year, and even on a month-by-month basis, the company managed to grow by nine per cent over August’s tally of 114,002 units.
Breaking the numbers down, it is clear that the backbone of Royal Enfield’s success remains the sub 350cc range. That slice of the line-up accounted for more than 1 million units in September alone (up 43 per cent year on year), while the larger machines over 350cc contributed 16,850 units, an impressive 45 per cent rise.

Domestic sales told a similar story, with 113,573 motorcycles finding homes in India, up 43 per cent on September 2024. Exports also remained strong at 10,755 units, a 41 per cent gain compared to last year, though slightly down by 3.3 per cent compared to August.

Zoom out to the second quarter of FY2026 and the numbers look just as healthy. Royal Enfield moved 326,375 units in the period, 43 per cent higher than Q2 of the previous year. Of that, 282,156 were sub 350cc bikes, a growth of 46 per cent, while 44,219 were over 350cc, up 27 per cent. Domestic sales in the quarter rose 42 per cent to 292,703, while exports surged by 55 per cent to 33,672 units.
The half-year picture tells the same story. From April to September 2025, Royal Enfield sold 591,903 motorcycles, a 30 per cent increase over the 454,779 units sold in the same period last year. Smaller bikes once again carried the load with 509,610 units, while the larger capacity motorcycles chipped in with 82,293 units. Domestic sales grew 27 per cent to 521,482, and exports jumped a hefty 60 per cent to 70,421 units.
Speaking about the bumper month, B. Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, said:
“It has been an incredible start to the festive season for us, we have registered our best ever monthly sales volume and have crossed 100,000 retail volumes for the month. The upgraded Meteor 350 has received a promising response, and with our refreshed line-up we are confident the growth momentum will continue.”
