Recently, the head of KTM’s majority shareholder, Bajaj Auto, suggested KTM needs to refocus on what it does well. Point taken, it seems. The Austrian orange brand has just rolled out this beast: the updated 300 EXC HARDENDURO.

Silly name, serious bike.

“Being the ultimate in enduro competition motorcycles, the 2026 KTM 300 EXC HARDENDURO receives a fresh graphics package,” states a media release. “Which features the typical KTM orange accentuated by a white and black colour palette, a gloss orange frame, and signature orange anodised KTM PowerParts.”

But it’s more than just new paint. KTM says it has also updated the bike’s suspension, cooling, and fuelling systems.

The bike’s 48mm WP XACT closed cartridge forks receive new damping settings and lighter, shorter springs, according to KTM. And a new pressure reservoir has been adapted to the new geometry of the spring support. These changes deliver a weight savings of 200 grams, KTM says.

KTM’s claims of changes to the cooling side of things is a little less exciting. The radiator has a new cap, which is apparently easier to open and close. Meanwhile, the bike’s CPC fuel connector also gets a new cap, which, according to KTM, “not only provides added protection against any outside damage but also prevents dirt from entering the sides of the connector.”

Other highlights include:

  • Factory wheel set (black rims, black spokes, orange hubs and orange nipples)

It says the bike delivers “dynamic race-bred performance, focused ergonomics, and leading technology to the start line.”

With a starting price of £11,599, models are set to arrive in dealerships in November.
