Taylor Mackenzie signs two-year Moto3 deal

Young Brit ace to ride in last 125cc series and inaugural Moto3 championship

TAYLOR Mackenzie, son of 500cc GP legend Niall Mackenzie, has agreed terms for a two-year deal to compete in the FIM World Championship with the Worldwide Race Group.

The 17-year-old rider and team signed a two-year agreement, therefore covering both the last world 125cc season and the first Moto3 Championship in 2012.

Young Mackenzie made his debut at the age of 13 in both Scottish and British minibike championship. He has raced from 2008 to 2010 in the British 125cc Championship, and conquered his first victory in the class last summer at Cadwell Park.

In 2009, the young Brit was selected to take part in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. In 2010 he lined up twice as wild card in the 125cc World Championship.
