Doohan to star in Sepang 20th Anniversary celebrations
Former World Champion joins other former GP legends at Malaysia GP
MULTIPLE 500cc World Champion Mick Doohan is to make a special appearance at this year's Malaysia MotoGP at Sepang, as the circuit celebrates its 20th year hosting the world class event, which takes place on 10th October.
It's unclear whether the Australian will take to the track to entertain crowds prior to the main event.
"The 20th anniversary of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix is a very special occasion," said SIC chief executive officer, Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali, who was in town to promote the October race earlier this week.
Hinting more former GP legends will be at the event, Razali continued: "Many great riders of the past will be at Sepang to joinly celebrate this very special occasion with us."
An auction is to be held, offering some top flight MotoGP prizes, including: starting grid and pit walk passes, pit garage tours, a taxi ride in the MotoGP safety cars as well as the chance to ride a Ducati two-seater with 500cc legend Randy Mamola.
