Oxford’s popular Montreal jacket, trousers upgraded for 2026
UK-based Oxford Products updates one of its all-time best-sellers.
Do you even motorcycle if you haven’t heard of Oxford Products’ Montreal Dry2Dry riding suit? Now the best-selling product has been upgraded again.
The new Montreal 5.0 jacket and trousers were first revealed to UK riders at last week’s MCL25 event. Claiming a “best-in-class specification” the suit builds on what was already a popular and respected name.
“The Montreal 4.0 already offered great value, so we had to work extremely hard to make improvements,” says Oxford.
Taking a look at the jacket first, the primary change comes in the presence of an improved “High-Density Recycled Polyester outer shell” which boasts “downpour-beating performance,” according to Oxford.
As is becoming popular on jackets these days, the Montreal 5.0 has huge vent panels in the chest that can be zipped open to allow in heaps of air. Meanwhile, “SnapLock” vents in the forearms also allow a good amount of circulation. There are seven “ventilation zones” in total.
More relevant to this time of year, however, the jacket comes with a removable thermal liner.
You get seven pockets: two zip-close handwarmer pockets, two external box pockets, a rear box pocket (is there anyone with the dexterity to actually access those with the jacket on?), an internal ‘Napoleon’ pocket, and an internal ‘dump’ pocket.
Claiming an AA safety rating, the jacket comes with armour in the elbows and shoulders, with space for a back protector (sold separately). The jacket retails for £199.99.
The Montreal 5.0 trousers, meanwhile, claim the same safety and construction features.
You get shiny knees, which we’re not sure about – highlighting where the Level 1 knee protectors are located. You also get Level 2 hip armour.
There are two zippered side pockets and two cargo pockets. The Montreal 5.0 trousers have a suggested retail price of £179.99.
There are mens and womens versions of each of the suits. Additionally, Oxford says that Montreal 5.0 gloves will be coming to the UK soon.
